Jenna Nelson is from Maple Valley, Washington. She studied at Pacific Northwest Ballet School and Evergreen City Ballet, and she attended summer courses on scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet School, the School of American Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. Ms. Nelson joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2010 and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2011.
