Classes

Our Summer Course curriculum offers serious ballet students the highest caliber of intensive classical training, augmented by a rich diversity of dance forms necessary to meet the eclectic demands of dance companies today. Students attend class Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00am-3:30 pm. Summer Course also offers students seminars on a wide variety of topics relevant to the young dancer including nutrition, dance history, music, foot health, production and pointe shoe care.

Level Weekly Schedule  
IV & V Technique, Pointe, Men's Class, Jazz, Character, Modern, Music, Pilates Mat Class and Seminars*  
VI Technique, Pointe, Men’s Class, Jazz, Character, Flamenco, Modern, Variations, Pas de Deux (if enrollment permits), Pilates Mat Class and Seminars*  
VII & VIII   Technique, Pointe, Men’s Class, Jazz, Character, Flamenco, Modern, Variations, Pas de Deux, Pilates Mat Class and Seminars*  

•  * Seminars include Dance History, Anatomy, Nutrition, Pointe Shoe Fittings and other dance-related topics.
•  Students attend class Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm & Saturday technique class. Class size is limited and all ballet classes are accompanied by professional pianists.
•  Students' placement may change the first week of classes.
•  Classes are subject to change and may vary from week to week.


PNBConditioning

PNBConditioning is designed to develop core strength, promote long, lean muscles and increase a dancer's range of movement and flexibility. All Summer Course students participate in weekly Pilates Mat classes. Students in Levels VI through VIII may sign up for Pilates apparatus classes for an additional fee. Information on apparatus classes is mailed to registered Summer Course students in May.
