PNB STARS asks for your support in our effort to fulfill the dreams of Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s talented students as they pursue a professional career in ballet. Your support in either donating in kind or sponsoring a portion of the PNB STARS 8th annual Scholarship Event: “Pointe to the Stars” on the evening of Wednesday, February 25th at Neiman Marcus Bellevue will help us reach that goal.
Neiman Marcus is graciously partnering with us this year, providing our guests with an exclusive Spring Trend Fashion Show with over 100 ballet supporters, many professional dancers along with PNB’s Artistic Director, Peter Boal, in attendance at the event. All proceeds will be designated to the PNB STARS Scholarship Fund which supports students of the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, ranked as one of the top three ballet training institutions in the nation.
The event offers two levels. The VIP level ($200 per person) features front row seating for the fashion show, a deluxe gift bag and valet parking. General seating for the show ($125 per person) includes the fashion show and validated parking. Both levels include wine, hors d’oeuvres, and an incredible silent auction featuring exclusive Pacific Northwest Ballet experiences and many other exciting offerings. The always popular raffle this year will be a beautiful designer handbag donated by Neiman Marcus.
How do the scholarships make a difference? Here are a few quotes from our past and current recipients:
"After spending two years in New York at the School of American Ballet it was time for a job. I was invited to attend PNB as a professional division student. Financially coming to yet another school and having no income was not an option-- that is until I received the STARS scholarship. PNB STARS made it possible for me to come to Seattle and pursue a career with one of my dream companies. To this day I am so grateful for the chance to be a part of such an amazing company and for the generosity of PNB STARS!" Price Suddharth
"I came from France and this is my first year as a Professional Division Student. I studied at School of American Ballet for 3 years before coming to Seattle. I would like to thank you so much for your support. My parents alone could not have supported me financially. They are also really grateful for your support.” Lorris Eichinger
PNB STARS was founded 17 years ago to support the Pacific Northwest Ballet. Its members are dedicated women who appreciate the artistry of ballet and work to make a difference for those that perform and those that appreciate the art. Please consider donating an item to be included in this year’s auction or consider underwriting for expenses.
