Otto Neubert
Ballet Master

Otto Neubert became Ballet Master for Pacific Northwest Ballet in 1992. Mr. Neubert assists the Artistic Directors in rehearsing, teaching and scheduling the Company, and also rehearses PNB School students in their roles for Nutcracker and other productions.

Mr. Neubert has performed as a guest artist in PNB's The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Swan Lake. Prior to joining PNB, he danced as a soloist with New York City Ballet and Stuttgart Ballet. Born in Munich, Germany, he received his early training with Alex Ursuliak, Ballet Master of Stuttgart Ballet and Director of the John Cranko School in Stuttgart. Mr. Neubert was also trained at Stuttgart Ballet School, the School of American Ballet and with Marika Besobrasova in Monte Carlo.



Anne Dabrowski
Ballet Master

Anne Dabrowski joined PNB as Ballet Master in 1997. Originally from San Diego, Ms. Dabrowski received her early dance training from the California Ballet School. She danced professionally with the Hartford Ballet and continued there as Company Teacher and Assistant Ballet Master and also served as a principal faculty member of the School of the Hartford Ballet. Ms. Dabrowski assists the Artistic Directors in teaching, rehearsing and scheduling the Company and rehearses PNBS students in their roles for Nutcracker and other PNB ballets.



Paul Gibson
Ballet Master

Mr. Gibson was named Assistant Ballet Master immediately upon retirement from PNB in June, 2004. He joined the Company in 1994 as a Soloist and was promoted to the rank of Principal in 1996. His choreographic work includes ballets for PNB and works for PNB School's Professional Division as well as works for San Francisco Ballet School, the San Francisco Ballet Choreographic Workshop, and the Allegheny Ballet Company. Mr. Gibson has also been a participant in the New York Choreographic Institute. Originally from Altoona, PA, Mr. Gibson began ballet training at the Allegheny Ballet Academy and later went to summer programs at the School of American Ballet in New York. He won a scholarship at San Francisco Ballet School and joined that company in 1988 where he rose to the rank of soloist. Mr. Gibson assists PNB's other ballet masters and the Artistic Directors in teaching, rehearsing and the scheduling the Company and rehearsing PNBS students in their roles for Company productions.



Randall G. ChiarelliRandall G. Chiarelli
Technical Director

Randall G. Chiarelli served as PNB's technical director and lighting designer from 1979–2005. He served as technical director of San Francisco Ballet from 2005–2006, and returned to PNB in November of 2006. He created the lighting designs for most of PNB's repertory including Kent Stowell's full-length Swan Lake, Firebird, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Carmina Burana, Cinderella and Carmen, and re-created the lighting designs for PNB's entire Balanchine repertory. His scenery designs for PNB include Les Biches, Divertimento No. 15, Capricious Night and Carmen. Student and apprentice to pioneer lighting designer Thomas R. Skelton, Mr. Chiarelli is a Seattle native and received painting and sculpture degrees from the University of Washington.



Larae Theige Hascall
Costume Shop Manager

Larae Theige Hascall oversees PNB's Costume and Wardrobe department. Ms. Hascall joined the PNB Costume Shop staff in 1983 and has been the Costume Shop Manager since 1987. She and her staff are responsible for all costumes worn by PNB dancers. Ms. Hascall's design credits include Kent Stowell's Quaternary, Duo Fantasy and Time & Ebb. She has most recently designed for PNB's guest choreographers, including Lynn Dally (Ruby, My Dear) and Donald Byrd (Capricious Night).

Ms. Hascall has also worked closely with renowned costume designers on PNB productions: Martin Pakledinaz (Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Zirkus Weill), Patricia Zipprodt (Who Cares?), and Theoni V. Aldredge (Carmina Burana and Firebird).
