School Locations

Pacific Northwest Ballet School has two facilities ideally suited for dance: The Phelps Center in Seattle and The Francia Russell Center in Bellevue. The curriculum, faculty, tuition, dress code and audition requirements are identical at the Seattle and Eastside Schools.

The Phelps Center is on the campus of the Seattle Center and adjacent to Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. In addition to the School, Company rehearsal studios and administrative offices are located here. All levels of classes are offered in the Seattle School. The School and Company moved to the new facility in the spring of 1993.

The Phelps Center provides:
  • Eight studios with specially constructed floors, four of which are dedicated to the use of the School.
  • Large dressing rooms with lockers and showers.
  • A student lounge for breaks, with vending machines offering healthy snacks.
  • A lounge for parents.
  • A dance library for reference and expanded studies with quiet study areas.
  • A safe and convenient drop-off area for students in front of the building.
  • The opportunity to be trained in a state-of-the-art facility where professional dancers work and rehearse.

The Francia Russell Center, opened in fall 2002, is conveniently located East of downtown Bellevue in the Bel-Red area. From SR-520 Eastbound, take the 124th Ave NE exit. Turn left on Northup Way, which becomes NE 20th St. Turn right at 132nd Ave NE, and left at NE 16th St. The Francia Russell Center is on the left.

Classes are offered in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Levels I-VI, Open Program and PNBConditioning.

The Eastside School features:
  • 24,000+ square feet on two floors
  • 4 dance studios
  • 2 conditioning studios
  • Library
  • Spacious adult and student dressing rooms
  • Comfortable parent waiting area offering Internet access
