Q & A

What inspired you to join PNB?

Growing up at the PNB School, I was surrounded by the incredible dancers in the company. That is what inspired to become a dancer with PNB.

How did you find out you got a contract with PNB?

I found out I got a contract with PNB Easter weekend – a little present from the Easter bunny! I had gotten back from a guest apprenticeship with SemperOper Ballet and had just finished Swan Lake rehearsal. Peter asked me to meet him upstairs in his office and I got hired! Easily one of the best days of my life.

Who inspires you to dance?

Growing up here at PNB, I was lucky to be exposed to all the amazing dancers in the company. Watching Carla Körbes, Lesley Rausch, Carrie Imler, Karel Cruz, and so many more gave me the inspiration to work towards my goals of joining PNB. Also, having the amazing support from my family and teachers played a huge part in me becoming a professional ballet dancer.

Favorite snack to get you through a long day of rehearsal?

To get me through long days, my favorite snack (unhealthy as they are) are flaming hot Cheetos!

What are your hobbies outside of PNB?

I love to cook and travel. In addition, I am in the early stages of starting my own dance-wear line. So, sketching has become one of my hobbies recently.
