We strongly recommend that dancers living in North America attend an in-person audition. Live auditions give applicants the best chance to represent their training and ability to us. View and register for the PNB Summer Course 2026 audition tour here.
Dancers who are based outside of the US are invited to submit a video for consideration. Video submissions will be accepted from January 5th- January 31st, 2026.
Dancers who must miss their scheduled in-person audition due to illness or injury, or dancers who were registered for an in-person audition that was cancelled by PNB, please contact the school via email pnbschool@pnb.org to discuss video submission options.
The video should be accessible via a working Vimeo, YouTube, or Google Drive link. Please double check the privacy settings to make sure that PNBS will be able to view the video. The video should be no longer than 10 minutes and done in a classroom setting in simple attire: pink or skin-colored tights and solid-colored leotard, no additional clothing items.
We suggest that your audition video include the following:
- Short examples of barre work – including views of pliés, tendus, ronde de jambe (a terre and en l’air), petite and grand battement, developpé, relevé en pointe, attitude and arabesque – all en face and in profile.
- Short examples of center work – including petite allegro, adagio, pirouettes, fouetté turns or a la seconde turns, traveling turns, and grand allegro. All center work should be shown en pointe for pointe dancers.
Videos will be viewed on a rolling basis and audition results will be e-mailed within 1 week. Due to the high volume of Summer Course applicants, it is not possible to provide personalized feedback regarding your video.
