Nutcracker

Praised by The New York Times as “original and exciting,” this marvelously imagined production, created by PNB Founding Artistic Director Kent Stowell and author/illustrator Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are), features over 200 dancers, gigantic moving sets, a snowfall every performance, and—the magical sound of the season—Tchaikovsky’s beloved score performed by the PNB Orchestra.

Hansel & Gretel

March 17-23, 2013

Music: Oskar Nedbal  /  Choreography: Bruce Wells

PNB School faculty member Bruce Wells, who staged a delightful Snow White for young audiences in 2012, is back with his version of the adventures of young Hansel and Gretel, which was a huge hit for family audiences when PNB last presented it in the spring of 2010. The ballet will feature students from PNB School.

A vehicle for emerging talent, NEXT STEP is where Company dancers rise as choreographers and PNB School’s Professional Division students take center stage in an all-premiere lineup of works created just for them. Be in the audience as these young artists take over the mainstage. Featuring Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras.
