Give in to inevitable goosebumps this November! George Balanchine’s haunting one-act ballet La Sonnambula, the tale of a beautiful sleepwalker and the misfortune in her wake, returns to PNB after a 10-year absence. Two contrasting pieces by Alejandro Cerrudo highlight his moody (Silent Ghost) at witty (PACOPEPEPLUTO) sides, giving you a full picture of this modern chorographer’s style. And, as a special treat, principal dancer Kyle Davis will create a world premiere work inspired by Edgar Allan Poe’s famous narrative poem “The Raven.”
Perfect for ballet fans wanting to learn more about the performance and its history, “Ballet Talks” are entertaining half-hour lectures about PNB’s current show given by dance experts. Join us an hour before your performance downstairs in the Nesholm Family Lecture Hall!
Enjoy an in-depth discussion between PNB artists, from choreographers to costume designers, before attending a dress rehearsal performance with PNB Company dancers and the PNB Orchestra. Youu2019ll get behind-the-scenes perspectives and a sneak peek at the show.
Connect with PNB Company artists in these inspiring Q&A sessions directly following your performance. “Meet the Artist” is an opportunity to discuss how the ballet you just watched impacted you and to learn the performers’ unique insights.
