1. to rise onto the balls of the feet or onto pointe, a critical skill in ballet that empowers the dancers with strength, agility, and endurance.
2. to raise and empower young creators through the art of dance.

PNB’s new initiative to engage youth in the choreographic pipeline through programs that allow them to learn, create, and experience new dance works. RELEVÉ centers on students, young practitioners, and youth audiences through new and existing programs, reimagined as an interconnected cultural ecosystem within PNB and Seattle Center.

An eight-week lab where young dancers explore the choreographic process, as an entry point to choreography and performance.

New Voices

A two-year choreography program for female-identifying students at PNBS in their final years of ballet/dance training.

Visiting Artist Labs

Through our New Works Initiative, guest choreographers conduct student workshops, providing students with diverse perspectives on the creative approach.

Create

Building on our work with New Voices, PNB will develop new classes for all PNBS Professional Division students.

Community Stages

Inviting visiting youth performing arts organizations to share their work with PNB audiences at McCaw Hall, including Seattle Girls Choir, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, regional youth and high school choirs, Community Day participants, and more!

A teen ticket and engagement program with expanded access to RELEVÉ-linked performances, MainStage performances, and teen-centered events.
