The 5th Position

2 oz gin
1 tablespoon simple syrup*
2 tablespoons lime juice
1/4 cup flavored seltzer of your choice
Lime wedge

To make on the rocks: Add gin, simple syrup, lime juice, and ice to a cocktail glass of your choice; stir to combine for 30 seconds. Top with seltzer and garnish with lime wedge. Can substitute any flavor seltzer or citrus; adjust citrus as needed to balance the sweetness of your seltzer.

To serve up: Add gin, simple syrup, lime juice, and ice to a cocktail shaker or pint glass; stir to combine for 30 seconds. Pour into cocktail glass of your choice; top with seltzer and garnish with lime wedge. Can substitute any flavor seltzer or citrus; adjust citrus as needed to balance the sweetness of your seltzer.

*To make simple syrup: Combine equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Cool; keeps in fridge up to 7 days.

To make it zero-proof: Substitute 2 oz fruit juice for gin (we like orange juice).
