Spotlight Luncheon

Marion Oliver McCaw Hall

Lunch, Learn, and Fuel the Future of PNB

Each year, the Spotlight Luncheon shines a light on the unseen journey our choreographers and dancers take to bring exquisite art to the stage. For the first time, we invite guests to experience a dancer’s pre-show ritual like never before. After diving into the mystery of Kyle Davis’s latest ballet, The Raven, with a candid conversation about the creation process, we will enter the theater to observe company class. Complete with commentary from Artistic Director, Peter Boal, guests will witness the often-sacred tradition of preparing the body mentally and physically for the performances ahead. A truly rare and authentic look at the discipline and artistry behind every PNB performance.

Your presence does more than fill a seat at the table. The Spotlight Luncheon is a fundraiser, and every dollar raised helps PNB create new works, support choreographers, commission fresh voices, and ensure ballet keeps evolving for audiences today and for generations to come.

FAQs

Will there be a performance?

This event does not include a performance; however, guests will enjoy an exclusive Company Class from 12:15-1pm. There is the option to add-on performance tickets for the 2PM matinee of GHOST STORIES.

What is Company Class?

Company Class is a warm-up class for PNB’s Company Dancers. Company Class is a time for the dancers to prepare and warm up their bodies mentally and physically for the performance to come. The dancers progress from slow smaller movements at the barre to faster and larger movements in the center or away from the barre.

Do I need to buy performance tickets separately?

Performance tickets are not included with your Spotlight Luncheon ticket. We strongly encourage guests purchase separate tickets for the 2pm matinee performance immediately following the Luncheon. However, performance tickets are not required to enjoy the Luncheon experience.

Where can I park?

Parking is available at the Mercer Street Garage (650 3rd Avenue North, Seattle, WA, 98109). The entrance to the garage is on 3rd Avenue North between Mercer Street and Roy Street. A covered skybridge connects level C of the garage to McCaw Hall. A link for pre-paid parking passes will be sent to guests once they have purchased event tickets.

I’m interested in purchasing a table but don’t have all my guest’s information yet. Can I still purchase the tickets?

Yes! A member of our events team will reach out to you by November 2nd to get your guest’s information and meal selections.

My organization is interested in sponsoring the Spotlight Luncheon. What kind of benefits does that include?

Please reach out to grants@PNB.org. We would love to talk to you about your organization and how we can work together in impactful and meaningful ways!

Who was Lynn Lindsay?

The Lynn Lindsay Spotlight Luncheon is named in honor of Lynn Lindsay, PNB’s longest-serving Trustee who spent more than 40 years on our board and left behind a remarkable legacy when she passed away in December 2024. Lynn had a deep devotion to the ballet, and she believed whole-heartedly in the power of PNB and the value of inviting stakeholders behind-the-scenes to experience how a ballet is created.
