Audrey
Malek

Audrey Malek (she/her) is from Gilmanton, New Hampshire. She trained at Washington School of Ballet on full scholarship and attended summer courses at Dance Theater of Harlem, Ellison Ballet, ABT, and Washington School of Ballet. Audrey was a member of Washington Ballet Studio Company before joining Pacific Northwest Ballet as a corps de ballet member in 2022.

While at Washington Ballet, she danced leading and original roles in Julie Kent and Victor Barbee’s Giselle (Myrtha); Jessica Lang’s Beethoven Serenade; and Mthuthuzeli November’s Where Do We Go Now. Audrey has also danced leading roles in George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena) and The Nutcracker (Coffee and Hot Chocolate); and ensemble roles in Jessica Lang’s Let Me Mingle Tears With Thee; George Balanchine’s Allegro Brillante; Kent Stowell’s Carmina Burana; Crystal Pite’s The Seasons Canon; Dwight Rhoden’s Catching Feelings*; George Balanchine’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; and Giselle.

Audrey was featured in an interview on gender roles in ballet in The New York Times in 2021 and in Pointe Magazine the same year.
