Destiny Wimpye

Destiny Wimpye (she/her) is from Atlanta, Georgia. She studied at the Colburn Dance Academy and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, both on full scholarship, and attended summer courses at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Debbie Allen Dance Academy, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Chautauqua Dance Program. She joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2022.

While a student at Pacific Northwest Ballet, Destiny performed in Company productions of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake (Four Swans). She performed leading and featured roles in Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast (Belle); Malena Ani’s pillow scream and Noah Martzall’s The Difference Between for NEXT STEP; and Christopher D’Ariano’s Homage.
