Dance for All

Dance for All offers fully inclusive creative dance classes that emphasize the joy of moving and expressing to live music. Designed to support diverse physical, developmental, learning, and sensory needs, classes playfully explore balance, coordination, and strength while fostering confidence, imagination, and community. Neurodiverse and neurotypical students are warmly welcome.

Dance for All Classes at PNB School

Class content explores the joy of moving to music and mirrors PNB School’s Creative Movement curriculum. Designed to support multiple ways of perceiving and expressing, Dance for All sessions build upon movement concepts that emphasize balance, coordination, expressivity, strength, and teamwork. Classes are taught by PNB School faculty skilled in inclusive and adaptive teaching practices. Peer dancers from PNB School Levels II-IV participate in classes, promoting friendship, inclusion, and a sense of belonging for all students. All classes are accompanied by a professional musician.

Dance for All Parent

Creative I (ages 5-11)

An inclusive creative dance class designed to support a wide range of developmental, physical, and cognitive needs. This class also welcomes students who benefit from 1:1 support. Co-taught by experienced instructors and accompanied by live piano and percussion, Creative I invites joyful exploration of movement, rhythm, foundational dance concepts, imagination, and social connection.

Curriculum activities reflect PNB’s Company repertoire throughout the season, drawing inspiration from the themes and stories of the narrative ballets performed onstage.

Saturdays, 9:00-9:50 am

Fall Session: September 19-November 21, 2026

Winter Session: December 5, 2026 – February 27, 2027 (no class February 20)

Spring Session: March 6-May 15, 2027

$315 per session

Creative II (ages 7 and up)

Building on the skills developed in Creative I, this inclusive creative dance class encourages continued growth in motor development through more complex movement patterns and rhythms. The curriculum also introduces students to a series of foundational ballet movements. 

Emphasizing imagination, joy, and teamwork, Creative II is led by experienced instructors and accompanied by live piano and percussion. Curriculum activities reflect PNB’s Company repertoire throughout the season, drawing inspiration from the themes and stories of the narrative ballets performed onstage. For learners ages 7+ ready to participate independently in class structure.

Saturdays, 9:00-10:00 am

Fall Session: September 19-November 21, 2026

Winter Session: December 5, 2026 – February 27, 2027 (no class February 20)

Spring Session: March 6-May 15, 2027

$315 per session

Accessible Sample Classes

Grounded in the belief that creativity lives within every person, Dance for All offers accessible sample classes at PNB and in the community for any group or setting, including schools, organizations, and corporate environments. Led by Dance for All faculty and accompanied by a live professional musician, participants of all abilities are invited to explore and connect through joyful movement experiences. Dance for All harnesses the power of dance to enrich and transform lives.

Volunteer for Dance for All

Dance for All is grateful for our dedicated Teen and Adult Volunteers. Orientation and ongoing communication help volunteers feel prepared, included, and supported.
