Melisa Guilliams is from Seattle, Washington. She studied at the International Ballet Academy, Souterre Ballet, Evergreen City Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet and attended summer courses at Houston Ballet, Juilliard, Miami City Ballet, Arts Umbrella, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as an apprentice in 2021.

Melisa has danced featured and leading roles in George Balanchine’s George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® (Dewdrop, Marzipan, Demi Flower, Harlequin); Peter Boal’s Giselle (Berthe); David Parson’s Caught; Justin Peck’s The Times Are Racing; Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon Alexei Ratmansky’s Wartime Elegy; Dwight Rhoden’s Catching Feelings; and Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake (Pas de Quarte). She’s performed in ensemble roles in George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante, Diamonds, and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®; Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Romeo ét Juliette; Crystal Pite’s The Seasons’ Canon; Kent Stowell’s Carmina Burana and Swan Lake; and Twyla Tharp’s Sweet Fields and Waiting at the Station.
