The world is turning very quickly as we try to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our communities. PNB understands the need to take significant measures to protect the health of all our citizens. In an attempt to be part of the solution, and for the safety of our audiences, artists, students, and staff, all PNB performances and events are cancelled through April 30, 2020.
Additionally, Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s Seattle and Bellevue schools are closed through April 25. This includes all Open classes, PNBConditioning private and semi-private sessions, Essential Barre, and Mat Group classes.
At this time performances scheduled after April 30 are scheduled to proceed. If there are changes to our performance schedule, we will send notifications by email, update you here on the website, and announce on social media. To minimize risk to our communities, we are asking those who feel unwell or uncomfortable to stay home. We will continue to closely monitoring the developments of COVID-19 outbreak here in the Pacific Northwest and globally, and will continue to update this page as we know more.
As a valued member of our PNB family, you can appreciate the impact of cancellations on PNB’s financial health. Non-profit organizations like ours have no contingency budgets in the case of civil emergencies like this one; our resources overwhelming go to producing work for the stage. On behalf of everyone at PNB – dancers, musicians, staff and faculty – we truly appreciate your investment in the ballet and in Seattle’s ever-important arts and culture community. For our part, we will continue to try to uplift our community, from afar, via our social media channels. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for your “Daily Dose of Dance.”
