Sarah Villwock | Corps de Ballet
Sarah Villwock is from Roswell, Georgia. She began her training at Tolbert Yilmaz School of Dance and continued at Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education and the School of American Ballet. In 2009, she became an apprentice with New York City Ballet and was promoted to corps de ballet in 2010. Ms. Villwock joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2019.
At New York City Ballet, Ms. Villwock danced leading roles in George Balanchine’s Coppélia (Waltz of the Golden Hours), Emeralds, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® (Columbine, Marzipan), Raymonda Variations, La Sonnambula, Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 2, Walpurgisnacht Ballet; August Bournonville’s Bournonville Divertissements, Peter Martins’ The Sleeping Beauty (Fairy of Eloquence, White Cat) and Swan Lake (Pas de trois, Neapolitan Dance), Jerome Robbins’ Fanfare, Interplay, and NY Export: Opus Jazz; Peter Walker’s ten in seven; and Christopher Wheeldon’s Mercurial Manoeuvres and Soirée Musicale. She originated featured roles in Lauren Lovette’s Not Our Fate and Pam Tanowitz’s Bartók Ballet.
Ms. Villwock danced the role of Clara during the 2001 Radio City Christmas Spectacular in Atlanta and performed with Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education at the USA International Ballet Competition in June 2006.
